Waste from an Ontario wool mill that would have been tossed out. Hand dyed using my own recycled leftover dye bath. When I dye yarns and braids of fibre, the mordant (citric acid) remains, and sometimes the dye itself doesn't exhaust fully. So in an attempt to leave no dye behind, I reuse it to dye this mill waste.

The wool content is unknown but this mill specializes in 80/20 merino sock yarns, so it's most likely 80% superwash merino and 20% nylon. But I'm sure there's more than that mixed in! Sometimes I see carded BFL or mohair or silk. This is clean processed waste pulled off the industrial carders between batches. Perfect for art yarns and fibre explorations. I can't guarantee that it will felt, but you could try it!
