Sport weight socks knit up in half the time as fingering weight socks, and they are cozier and warmer for winter. This superwash BFL Sport weight base has no nylon but the beauty of bluefaced leicester wool is that it is naturally durable and pill resistant due to its longer staple length and tensile strength without compromising the softness we expect from a luxury fibre. For maximum comfort and durability I recommend knitting these sport weight socks on a tight gauge on 2.5mm - 2.75mm needles. These sport weight sock twin sets could also be used make a wonderful squishy pair of matching mitts!!
