Dumpster Diver Batt #10

One of a kind batt carded on a hand-cranked carding machine using mill waste from an Ontario mill destined for landfill. This clean processed wool was pulled off the industrial carders and pin drafters between batches and hand dyed by me. Perfect for art yarns and fibre explorations. I can't guarantee the wool content at all, or if it is superwash treated or not, you'll just have to play with it and see! It is a wild mix of wool slubs, neps, pencil roving, combed top and wool/nylon sock fibre blend. 

Hand dyed using my own recyclled leftover dye bath. After dyeing yarn or combed top I reuse that pot of dye bath with this dumpster-diver wool for 3-5 more batches. This wool also serves as a "dye mop" for leftover bits of dye on my tools or at the bottom of the bottle. It is then minimally rinsed and air dried before I card it into batts.

Each batt is between 40-60g with an average of 54g
